Triangle Chapter Supports ROTC and JROTC Units
The MOAA Triangle Chapter supports ten ROTC detachments: Army, Air Force and Navy at NC State University, UNC-CH, and Duke University, plus the Army program at Saint Augustine University.
The Chapter also supports thirty-two high school JROTC programs spread over seventeen counties in North Carolina -- shown on the accompanying map. The high schools include:
Beddingfield High School, Broughton High School, Cary High School, Clayton High School, Cleveland High School, Corinth Holders High School, Enloe High School, Fike High School, Garner High School, Hillside High School, Hunt High School, JF Webb High School, Knightdale High School, Louisburg High School, Millbrook High School, Nash Central High School, Northern High School, North Edgecombe High School, Person High School, Riverside High School, Roanoke Rapids High School, Rocky Mount High School, Sanderson High School, Smithfield-Selma High School, South Granville High School, South Johnston High School, Southwest Edgecombe High School, Tarboro High School, Vance County High School, Wake Forest High School, West Johnston High School, and Warren County High School.
The Chapter provides MOAA Leadership Awards to all ROTC and JROTC programs plus participates in award presentations for some units. We also support the high school units with our MOAA Chapter Scholarship, in their completive drill meets, and other leadership activities.
